Well, that was it. Our final shoot for the year. Thank you to the Gallup Shooting Range for hosting our shoot. Thank you to Nate for running the trap range and making the games so much fun and donating our range fees back to our program. That will start the fall season off well. Thank you to Mr. Byers for being our Range Master and Mrs. Rogers for another great job of organizing the show and getting everyone those good looking t-shirts. Thank you to all the parents for cheering on the shooters. Thank you to all of you for doing a superior job handling yourselves and your weapons. Our program is successful because of your character. We are very proud of all of you. Congratulations to Lorenzo, the rifle winner, and to Jesse, the trap winner. You guys are hard to beat BUT I would like to offer special congratulations to Caleb for coming out of the woodwork by winning the 2nd round of the trap with a 23! Tanyon also stepped up his game by shooting a 42 which is a huge improvement--well done! Watch out for these guys next year. Our National Team will consist of the top 4 shooters in each event plus the 5th and 6th place shooters as alternates. If you are unable to go to Nationals, please let me know asap so that we can adapt accordingly. There will be a rifle team clinic in June. Mr. Byers is checking on dates for the range in Los Alamos. This is a as close to mandatory as we can ask--without it being mandatory. We have the strongest team in the nation. Let's go to Rock Springs and take the top 4 places. Mrs. Rogers has created the biggest prize package ever for the shooting program. We are all VERY excited for the awards presentation. You guys are going to be blown away!
